If you’re one of the many who are looking to purchase a HDB resale flat, don’t fret – there are numerous grants that could assist you in doing so. The eligibility requirements offered are flexible, and so people from all kinds lifestyles and situations can apply.
Here are the kinds of grants available:
Family Grant
This is an assistance for married/ engaged couples or families who are first-timer applicants buying an HDB resale flat:

Recipient of Family Grant may also be eligible for Additional CPF Housing Grant.
If a qualifying family member becomes an SC, then they can apply for the Citizen Top-up Grant of $10,000.
Additional CPF Housing Grant
Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG) provides assistance to lower to middle-income applicants of the Family Grant.
Eligibility for AHG

Must have been eligible for the Family Grant first
The applicant, if engaged or married, must have had uninterrupted employment in the last 12 months and they must still be employed during the time of the application.

Proximity Housing Grants (PHG)
For those who want to live independently without having to move too far away, then the Proximity Housing Grant can help. Families or singles who live within the same neighbourhood or only 4km away from their parents are eligible for the PHG.
PHG grants funds of $30,000 for families and $15,000 for singles to assist in purchasing a nearby resale flat with their parents.
Conditions for AHG
1. Citizenship
You must be an SC. At least one of your parents or your married child should also be at least an SPR or also an SC.
2. Minimum Age
For families, the age minimum is at 21 years old.
Singles must be at least 35 years old or above if applying for either the: Single Singapore Citizen Scheme, the Joint Singles Scheme, or the Public Scheme
3. Married Ones
Those who are married and are applying under the Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme must be 21 years old or more. This is only applicable for units that are 2 rooms or bigger.

Half-Housing Grant
This grant providess assistance For First-timer SC applicants whose spouse/ spouse-to-be had previously received a housing subsidy.
The grant amount is half of the Family Grant that you and your spouse/ spouse-to-be would qualify for if both of you were first-timer applicants.
For example, the applicable grant is $50,000 Family Grant for SC/ SC Household, the Half-Housing Grant is $25,000.
These funds can be used to balance the down payments and the subsequent payments while also lowering the mortgage loan for the Executive Condominiums (ECs).
