The very first executive condominium (EC) site on Tengah (also known as the Forest Town) was recently accorded to Taurus Properties SG. Singapore’s Housing Development Board (HDB) broke the news of the record-breaking land rate on June 3 2021, where the 99-year leasehold site was awarded for $400,318,000 or $603 per square foot per plot ratio (psf prr) — the highest figure for an EC site under the government land sales (GLS) programme. The previous record has been held for over four years by Sumang Walk EC site in Punggol, where the land lease was handed over to the tune of $583 psf prr.
Situated within Tengah Garden Walk, the land site area of 22,020 sq m will yield a maximum gross floor area of 61,659 sq m and accommodate 12 blocks of units that can be built up to a maximum of 14 storeys. Together with MCL Land, Taurus Properties SG has stated that it would be developing approximately 620 units.
Taking ‘clean and green’ city living to the next level
Dubbed as the “Evergreen Forest Town” of Singapore, the upcoming EC in Tengah is expected to pioneer nature-themed metropolis living where residents are brought closer to nature than ever.
