Among the standout aspects of life in the Philippines is vacationing. Whether it’s the country’s different locations being frequented by visitors thanks to its different tourist attractions and almost-perpetual warm-weather, or the Filipinos’ affinity for going on an “outing” with their friends and/or family even if it’s just a staycation within the cities they reside, leisure and relaxation is seemingly ingrained in modern Filipino culture.

Granted, vacationing in the Philippines has changed dramatically following the on-set of Covid-19 but-while travel is not what it used to be-the vacationing way of life continues if only inside homes instead of hotels this time. If the pandemic has had you to begin thinking of investing more you, might want to consider buying a new home. For one thing, it can both be another place for you to enjoy while still staying in, and also serve as a vacation home to also rent out once we can travel a little more freely once again.

Locations worth considering are those that are still just a city or two away so that you can get to your new property and look after it with ease, and the following are examples of such places and properties that are currently in the market.

Bulacan

An easy-to-access respite from Metro Manila because it is basically just up-north of the capital region, Bulacan continues to gain popularity as place to invest in real estate. Along with being relatively easy to travel to, the province has a number of points of interest. These include numerous churches such as La Purísima Concepción Parish Church and the Diocesan Shrine of Mary Mother of the Eucharist and Grace; industrial estates and parks like Agus Development Corporation and the Bulacan ICT Park; and educational institutions like Bulacan State University and extensions of Polytechnic University of the Philippines, among many others.

Real estate is not far behind in the province, as a variety of properties are currently on the market, providing choices for both those who want to permanently reside in Bulacan or invest in a vacation home in one of its cities or municipalities. Among the affordable options are houses and lots in modern developments like Lessandra Sta Maria. Apart from new two-bedroom homes, residents and vacationers can also enjoy amenities such as swimming pools and pocket parks and gardens in this Bulacan residential community.

Pampanga

Sitting a little more northward of Metro Manila and Bulacan, Pampanga is another location that continues to garner more real estate demand. For one, it is something of a central location, being bordered by a number of notable locales, such as Tarlac to the north, Nueva Ecija to the northeast, the aforementioned Bulacan to the east, the Manila Bay to the central-south, Bataan to the southwest and Zambales to the west. Being home to the Clark Freeport Zone and Clark International Airport further emphasizes its place as a travel hub, with many either traveling to or through the province for their leisure.

Its being the location of 19 municipalities and three cities, and over 70 colleges and universities, makes it ideal to invest in a new home-be it to reside in or rent out to travelers or long-term tenants. Real estate options are extensive in Pampanga, as there are a number of newly-developed communities in the province. Among these is The Arcadia, which is located in the municipality of Porac. Along with amenities like a clubhouse, swimming pool, and children’s play area, the residential development also has a commercial area lined up at its entrance, providing residents and vacationers everything they need nearby.

Las Pinas City

A highly urbanized city in the south of Metro Manila, Las Pinas is widely popular as a place to buy a home in the Philippines given property in the city is comparably more affordable than other metro cities such as Makati and Taguig. Given its being part of the National Capital Region, many modern conveniences are within reach in the city, yet it is also comparably less busy than the major business districts of the metro, also making it an ideal place to escape while not traveling too far.

As part of the country’s most highly urbanized region, condominiums for sale are among the most available types of properties in Las Pinas, and are worth considering for buyers with a preference for urban living or who want a rental property that will appeal to tenants in the same way. Condo developments in the city include low-rise projects-such as that of The Hermosa-which is comparatively less cramped than the high-rise developments in the busier cities and feature community amenities spread on a larger land area that provides it a more resort-like feel.

The greater land availability in Las Pinas also provides for more traditional house and lot options, another reason why many choose the city to buy a new home when compared to other places in Metro Manila. They include communities like Amore at Portofino which, like most modern gated communities, feature different style homes and a number of amenities which makes one not even have to leave the area for rest and leisure.

These are but a few of the destinations worth considering when buying a new vacation home in the Philippines. For a comprehensive list of houses and lots for sale or condominiums that are ready for occupancy or are at pre-selling, visit the Ohmyhome property investments page today.
